Obama Emails About 'Dinner with Barack' - Again

President Obama on Thursday night sent his second email of the week about the sixth and final 'Dinner with Barack' contest, asking for a $5 entry donation to battle against the "cynical calculation" of  "a few billionaires writing $10 million checks."  The President was in Florida at a $20,000/plate fundraiser as the email landed in supporters' inboxes.

Obama for America has sent dinner emails to supporters every day this week, including from Vice President Joe Biden and from First Lady Obama. Mrs. Obama appears on the graphic logo promoting the contest, but she has not been announced yet as a dinner participant.  The entry deadline is Sept. 25th.  There's an alternate "free" entry page for the dinner contest that's required by law; three winners will be selected and each can bring a guest. President Obama's email had the subject line "Dinner?" He wrote:

As we're organizing the last dinner with supporters on my last campaign, our kind of politics is running up against a very cynical calculation:

That a few billionaires writing $10 million checks are enough to overpower the voices of millions of Americans -- people like you, moving our campaign forward by talking to your friends and neighbors about all that we've accomplished together in the past four years, and all that we still plan to do.

That's why I want to meet you for dinner.

Donate $5 or whatever you can to our people-powered campaign, and be automatically entered to join me -- hotel and airfare covered for you and a guest.

Overnight, we aren't going to change the rules that allow outside groups to spend hundreds of millions of dollars attacking me on the airwaves.

So we have to stay on the case every day.

Last week we learned that more than 1.1 million donors in August alone -- out of more than 3 million people supporting this effort -- had outraised Mitt Romney and the Republicans for the first time since April. Today, I'd like you to join them.
