Just minutes ago, President Obama tipped the world about his Valentine's Day plans during a visit to Decatur Community Recreation Center in Georgia.  He's got flowers, a gift, and plans for a date night with First Lady Michelle Obama, the President told an excited crowd.

"Michelle says hello," President Obama said to cheers.  "She made me promise to get back in time for our date tonight.  That's important...I've already got a gift, got the flowers."

The President added that flowers are an easy win for him.

"I was telling folks the flowers are a little easier, though, because I've got this Rose Garden," he said, to laughter.  "Lot of people keeping flowers around."

Last year, President Obama took his wife out for a Valentine's dinner at Vermilion Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia.  The steak and lobster feast was the First Couple's only dinner out that has actually occurred on Valentine's Day since they moved into the White House.  Last October, the President and Mrs. Obama had a slightly belated celebration for their 20th wedding anniversary at Georgetown's Bourbon Steak restaurant, when the President was in the midst of his re-election battle.  The actual date of their anniversary came on the day the President debated his GOP challenger.

The President is scheduled to be back at the White House at 4:25 PM this afternoon, and minutes later, at 4:50 PM, he will hold a digital "Fireside Hangout" from the Roosevelt Room.
