President Obama, First Lady To Appear Together On 'The View' On Tuesday, Sept. 25

President makes his fifth visit and First Lady makes her fourth visit for first joint interview on daytime chat show...
President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will appear together on ABC's 'The View' on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 11:00 AM ET for their first co-appearance on the daytime chat show circuit, the show's producers announced today.  The First Couple will take questions from the five fiery female hosts on "their relationship, family life inside the White House and the election," the network said.

The Obamas have each appeared individually multiple times on the show.   Mrs. Obama last visited in May of this year, while the President appeared for a solo interview in July of 2010, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit a daytime TV talk show.  The co-interview is scheduled to tape on Monday, Sept. 24, in New York City.

Co-host Barbara Walters hailed the joint appearance as "a significant milestone."

"We are honored to host President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama on 'The View,'" said  Walters. "Although each of them has appeared several times on the program, this first joint appearance marks a significant milestone."

The First Couple will chat with Walters and Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd as part of the show's ongoing "Red, White & View" campaign, which is "committed to political guests and discussions." The hosts represent a wide range of political views and are known for putting their guests on the spot.

This will mark President Obama's fifth appearance on "The View." He was also a featured guest in May 2012, March 2008 and November 2004.  Mrs. Obama will make her fourth appearance, having previously been a guest in May 2012, April 2011 and June 2008, when she made her daytime television debut as a special guest co-host for the show.
